Let it Snow!

Today it’s my turn to blog on The Rubber Café Blog – Pugnacious Stamps- and showcase the New Christmas Line. And the line is amazing. It contains old friends in wintery atmospheres as well as new acquaintances. I have loved the Labrador since the first day I saw him earlier this year (with a trick or treat bag – check out that cutie used on a Halloween card HERE) and I was so happy to find him with friends in the DT kit I was sent! He is pure joy! LOL! And here is the first card I’ve made with the set of four stamps called Winter Fun Labrador.

December #1

He is colored with distress ink and cut out and then mounted with 3D foam. I stamped the white cardstock with the background stamp It’s a Blizzard Outside. To get a really soft stamped result, I used Distress Ink Broken China and when inked up, I stamped once on a piece of scrap paper and then a second time on the card stock. The sentiment is from the two piece set Baby it’s cold outside.

December #1 detalj

Have you ever tried Fun Flock? I did it for the first time with this card, and it was super fun. It added a touch of sparkling snow to the card as a finishing touch! And if you want to see more of the new line of Christmas Stamps from Rubber Café, you should check the Pugnacious Stamps blog out. HERE.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great new week, and PLEASE let it SNOW!!!

Kyle Regerar

We had a GREAT night yesterday. We decided on a 16 courses meze menu with scampi, lamb, olives, feta, and God knows what. Yummy, and the show was great and the beer tasted like heaven. I think I’ll date my hubby more often.

This morning I made a card for MIL. I’ll send it to her today along with J’s wish list. I got this AMAZING glittery thick DCWV paper from Anna’s Scrapbooking last weekend. Love it to bits, but it wasn’t that easy to work with. But I had this deep blue glittery embossing powder that saved me some.  This is my take on the 365 cards Super Sketchy Sunday challenge.

Kram Brita I’ll go search for some purple. Think I have some Wisteria papers left somewhere. Sketchy Colors launched their first ever challenge today, and wow, the DT’s outdid themselves and I’m totally inspired. To use purple. Sounds weird, I know, but go have a look and you’ll know what I’m talking about.

Have the best of Sundays!

We’re going OUT!

Wohoo, hubby and I are going out for dinner and theater tonight. It’s something we do like once in a decade… Well, if not once in a decade, for sure way to seldom. It will be soooo much fun. We’re having meze. Love, love, love meze! J is sleeping over at a friend’s house and he is happy too.

We’ve had a fun but hectic day so far. We baked some ginger bread this morning, and cleaned the house and did some advent decoration.

2009 nov 27_3884_redigerad-1 2009 nov 27_3887_redigerad-1 I love the smell of a clean house and newly baked ginger bread. Yummy. And the candles. All I want now is for that awful rain to stop. NOW!

I made a card this afternoon too. There are a couple of birthday parties coming up. I’ve used the sketch at Basic Grey Challenges and the patterned papers are all from the Nook & Pantry line.

Grattis Sofia I also made this card for the day 273 at 365 cards – pretty patterns. The pretty pattern in question is the damask. And it sure is pretty. I’ve had this damask clear stamp set for a year or so. I saw Ulrika use it in AMAZING ways, so I had to get it. Check THIS out. But… well, lets say it’s been tucked away ever since… And now I’m happy it’s out in the open, I’ll use it again soon.

I’m off for our night out! Have a great weekend all!

A Partridge in a Pear tree

The Christmas Cards continue to pile up around here. I think I might need a break this weekend and do something else… LOL! But today I have yet another Christmas Themed card, based on the Friday Sketchers sketch #80.

Celebrate 2

At once I saw the sketch I knew I wanted to use the Partridge in a Pear Tree stamp from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. I think this stamp is magnificent. The patterned papers are Basic Grey and the punches are from MS. I also tried the day 272 – Crossing the lines challenge at 365 cards.

Happy Friday, and for you in the US – have a great Black Friday!

Let it snow

The rain is driving me CRAZY! I have never EVER experienced a November like this. I long for December, I long for ginger bread and candle lights and I long for SNOW! Well, enough of this wining. One thing to help me get through November has been making Christmas Cards and listening to Adams Julsång with Jussi Björling. It helps. Some. LOL!
This is a card I made for the House of Inspiration Crop a week ago. It's also my first card with the new The Rubber Café Christmas Line. I've used the background stamp It's a Blizzard outside (I wish!) and the Baby It's cold outside snowman.

Back to work. I'd better keep going and try to do as much as I possibly can before I get the flu. People around me at work are getting it - one after another... I'll get my shot on Monday.

Have a great day!

Celebrate

The Christmas Cards are starting to pile up around here. I think I will be able to send them all out in time this year – it will be a first… LOL!

I’ve used the Mojo Monday Sketch of the week for this one, and I’ve also used up some of my beloved Wassail papers from last year. Oh, how I love these papers. Sigh. Celebrate The stamp is from Prickley Pear, Poinsettia Flourish, and I’ve paper pieced and double stamped the flower part of the  flourish. I also incorporated a knot, to fit the 365 cards challenge today.

Have a lovely evening!

Hannas Pysselstuga…

Julkort 2, hannas This is a card I made as a Guest Designer for Hanna’s Pysselstuga.

While hubby and son worked in the garden today, Ulrika and I went to Arvika to visit Anna and Anna’s Scrapbooking. I had a great day, chatting (sorry Ulrika – I get carried away sometimes…) and shopping and laughing. Thank you girls! I got me a Distress ink holder from Tim Holtz, and I’m one happy lady! Maybe that will help me get a tiny winy little more organized. Who knows… LOL!

Have a wonderful Saturday!

A black and silver layout

When I got home last night, I sat down to finish a last project for the House of Inspiration crop. The challenge was to be inspired by a room in ones house and I choose our library. It's my favorite room and we've got this one wall with black wallpaper with silver colored flourishes that I am in love with. Hubby says it's my scrapbook genes speaking. The rest of the walls are white, and we've got some accents of green, like in the curtains.

This is a hint of how it looks like, the photo is from last years renovation.

I focused on the the colors, and stamped two silver frames on black cardstock. I thought this design would enhance the depth of the photo, and I'm really pleased how this turned out. The photo is bad due to lack of light, but I think you get it.

Wish you all a nice new week! I'm happy this morning cause there is a BLUE sky outside my window. Haven't seen one in like three weeks.

Hannas Pysselstuga...

Tjohoo.
Mum and I went shopping at Hanna's Pysselstuga yesterday. I bought a lot... And hubby payed. I was also asked to do be a Guest DT this month and got some yummy Bo Bunny papers and magnolia stamp. I'll get started when I come home (still visiting my parents), but the stuff was such a treat, that I had to try it out yesterday night. Just for fun.

Have a lovely Sunday!

Hi from Gamleby

We arrived safely to my parents house late last night. It's a 4 hour drive, and it's good to be here. It's not easy for an early bird like me to stay over at friends and family, but that doesn't apply here. My mum has a scrap room (YAY) and I've been spending the early Saturday hours there. Making a card. A thank you card for a very nice gal, the owner of Hannas Pysselstuga, who will have her shop open for mum and me (and any occasional customers... lol) today! I will be shopping!

It's not easy only using somebody elses supplies, including camera and photo editing program. But mum is well equipped and I did bring some Webster's pages and hÄnglar stamps! I do miss my Nikon and PS...

I made this card for a challenge at House of Inspiration's crop - to use stamp/s that I've never used before.

Have a wonderful Saturday!

There is a crop…

…over at House of Inspiration this weekend. LOADS of great challenges to inspire you. I’m heading home to my parents, but maybe, just maybe, we get to scrap some. I’ve managed to make a real quick lift for one of the challenges. I used this as inspiration. It’s fantastic, so I stayed close to the original. And this is my take:

Äntligen vårHave a lovely weekend and see you Sunday!

Two cards…

I got home early enough today to take photos of the cards I made the last couple of nights. Hence the not very exciting post title. LOL!  Another reason is I lost the ability to think an hour ago or so.

The first one is made for the Bo Bunny Sketch and Christmas Card Challenge. Julkort 4Papers are Bo Bunny and the stamp is from hÄnglar och stÄnglar. Also notice the canvas fabric patch on the sack, it’s due to the 365 Cards day 255 Let’s patch it up – challenge.

Next one is for Sketch Saturday, this week’s sketch is totally fabulous!!!New Beginnings 3  More Bo Bunny papers. Stamps from Prima and Papertrey Ink.

My head is blank this afternoon, I’ve been reading a part of Emigrationsutredningen (not translatable, but believe me – it’s a sleeping pill)  today, and my eyes are dry and my mind has turned in for today.  I think Glee will be perfect for me tonight!

Ornament card

I got back from Dr’s office a while ago and I am not happy. I’ve developed an allergy that makes the areas around my eyes turn red, dry and swollen, AND itchy! I’m a wreck. I look like h**l and it feels BAD. I’ve been taking medication for over two weeks, but it doesn’t help. Today I got some new pills and I’ll be transferred to the experts at the hospital. But, as the Dr said, it will take a while… Yeah, right. Sorry, needed to vent!

Here is a card for the 365 cards challenge - I’m hung up – to make an ornament card.

Julhjärta As soon I saw the challenge at 365 cards, I knew what to do. We did these Christmas decoration hearts every year when I was a child.  The fun thing is that there is a tutorial at the StampArtic blog today. I guess great minds think alike. LOL! I was inspired by the bow at the card in the tutorial so I added that before I took the photo. I like how it came out.

I survived the party…

… my son had last night. But only barely. LOL! He’s been wanting to have a Halloween party since last year, and I finally gave in. Last night I had 11 nine year olds roaming my house. It still stands. And the children had a good time. And I actually enjoyed the preparations. This is my first ever pumpkin.

2009 nov 06_3768 The party means I haven’t had time to participate in full in the crop, but I have made one page for a challenge (and I think I’ll be able to do a couple more today).

Jag just nu It’s a BOM page about me right now. I’ve used a great sketch by Pam Callaghan, one amazing scrap booker who recently launched a blog to share her templates and ideas. Go check her, and her team out!

Edit: I managed to fit in a couple of cards today too. The first is a star shaped Christmas card for the crop..

Jul 3 The papers are Bo Bunny and stamps are Prickley Pear Rubber stampsPenguin Flourish.

I also loved the sketch at 365 cards today, so I HAD to have a go with it.Just wantingSorry for bad photo – no light – no good photos.

Take care!

Fall Fenzy Frolic Crop

A Page in Time is hosting a Fall Frenzy Crop this weekend. It starts at noon PST (which is like 9 pm CET) and there are loads of different fun challenges and games and really, really NEAT prizes from some of our favorite manufacturers. You are invited!!! We would love to see some new fresh faces on the board!!! The crop will take place HERE!

Here is a little sneak peak from my first challenge:

Kasper och Jonathan Detalj In waiting for the fun this weekend, I made a card in twoof my favorite colors - pink and brow. This meets up with the challenge of day 251 of 365 cards. Fairy I’ve used the lovely sketch from Friday sketchers, and the papers are Basic Grey Wisteria. The stamps are from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps, Felicity and Border Flourish. Used some cotton candy and cinnamon stickles on this one, but it doesn’t photograph well.

Hope to see you over at A Page in Time Fall Crop!

I got a little crazy with acrylic paint, stamps from Prickley Pear and glossy accent. It was fun! LOL!

A FCD card

Hi! I’m popping in to share a card I did this weekend. I have had serious issues photographing it. I started to think it was an evil spirit involved. But hubby stated that conspiracy theories seldom leads to real problem solving. He might have a point.  LOL! Well here she is, my FCD lady. Finally.Tesa Oct 06 I’ve used a beautiful Graphic 45 patterned paper and the lovely Woman in Character stamp is from Firecracker Design.

I’ll continue my reading about constitutional change and the issue of Swedish Monarchy vs repblic in the early 1970’s. Hot stuff! Sometimes when I try to explain for my dear son what I do at work all day, it’s really hard to make him understand I have the most interesting work ever… LOL.

November

That means we are way too soon celebrating Christmas. Feels strange, this year only just began. The weather is still really good, and we took another long walk today, son and I. I love the walks with him. We talk about silly stuff and we talk about serious things about life, we laugh and have fun. And we have this time together that is only for us. He has one rule though. No camera. : (

Two cards today. The first one is using the new sketch over at Sketch Saturday. It’s a GREAT sketch!!! I’ll be using it again for sure!Tack 9 Stamps are from Artistic OutpostBlueBird Collection. The papers are Kraft from Bazzill and Basic Grey Wisteria.

Second one (also a Thank you card…) is for 365 cards Super Sketchy Sunday. Tack 10 Stamp from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps and papers from Dream Street Papers.

Time to make some dinner, have a lovely Sunday all!
