Hello Friend

Here is a set I did for a special friend. I used the lovely circular sketch from Mojo Monday as inspiration for the card. I decided to cut in my new Graphic 45 papers. That wasn’t easy, I’ve been hoarding them for a month, but I’m happy I did… Well, I said it’s for someone special, right! :D

Hello Friend

Hello Friend lådan  Hello Friend båda I also made a box (template from Papertrey Ink – love this one!) for a little treat. Hope she’ll like it!

I’m off to see the DR. Keep your fingers crossed he will be able to detect what I can’t out of the test result on my back. I dreamt about this tonight, and I do not hope it will end up like it did in my dream – I was allergic to pretty much EVERYTHING. Horror! LOL!

Have a fabbie day!

Happy spring and a birthday cake

I’m working from home today. Grading tests. It’s not my favorite kind of job, but it needs to be done. And I need to take breaks! LOL! We had a calm weekend, resting after a busy week, and that means I found some time for scrapbooking. I’ve been working on layouts for a competition for quite some time now and I’m totally blocked. The last layout will NOT come out. So I decided to do something else, and that worked fine. Imagine that.

I found this really nice sketch blog the other day - Sketchy Thursday and their sketch for the week really got my mojo jumping again.

Födelsedagstårta This is dear son on his birthday. The cake is very important to him, and he prefers to do it himself. This year he even followed an own recipe he made just for this occasion. Tasted ok… He was very happy with it, mostly (I think) cause he knew exactly what yummieness he had put into it (like loads of chocolate and sugar and vanilla).

I also have a card to share. A first with my new yummy Basic Grey Green at heart paper pad combined with one of my favorite flourish stamps all time (yes you’ve seen it before). The design is based on the fab sketch from Our Creative Corner.

Happy Spring

Papers: Bazzill, Basic Grey

Stamps: Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps

Ink: Versa Fine

Decos etc.: Pearls from Prima, ribbon, MS Edge Punch

Thanks for popping in! Take care and see you soon!

Super Sketchy Sunday

Happy Sunday Folks! Time for a new Super Sketchy Sunday over at 365 Cards!

We have a week full of fun and challenging challenges ahead of us (yep, Pam is on her special coffee still) and we also have a sponsor – Sew Many Cards – and you could win some cute digi images!

Here is the fab and fund sketch for today:

I got a cute little elephant called Eris to play with. I have clear embossed amazing swirls behind her, and it gives a neat shiny effect IRL, but doesn’t really show here. So I added some pearl swirls to enhance that part of the card.

Woo Hoo!!

Papers: Bazzill, scrap paper of unknown origin…
Stamps: Sew many cards, Firecracker Designs by PamelaYoo HOOO!! set.
Ink: Opac white Staz on
Decos: Pearl swirl from Prima, pearls – Kaiserkraft, ribon, flower from Kort og Godt, EK punch.

I also included some simple doodling (faux stitching) to frame it all, and I'm entering this in the Stamp Something - Doodle challenge.

I hope you pop over to 365 cards and check out all the sample cards and that you have a go with the sketch! Have a great day!

Ink: Versa Fine, Distress Ink

Recipe card

I’m officially back by my scrap desk. As of this morning. I’m having a DR:s appointment in an hour, so there were no point really to go to work… LOL! Instead, while being a bad employee, I did today’s challenge at 365 cards. A really neat recipe challenge it is. I hope I didn’t stretch the three circles part by using these circular stones. But if I did, I blame it all to the bad influence of Rose and Gloria. =P

Hope is the thing...

Papers: Webster’s pages
Stamp: Firecracker designs by PamelaA little bird told me…
Ink: Versa Fine
Decos etc: Glass stones, ribbon, Spellbinders nestabilities.

It’s a simple and quick card, but boy do I love these papers. Gorgeous colors! Well, wish me luck today – I’m going on the search of the allergen that makes me look like an alien (or worse) from time to time.

See you!

I survived...

...one of the toughest things I've ever done in my life. I had my dissertation manuscript read and critically commented by one of the most knowledgeable professors in Agricultural Economic History in Sweden. He had A LOT to say, and there are quite some work to do before it's time for the dissertation act, but he was happy with it. I am happy with that. LOL!

I've had so much to do the last couple of weeks, and topped it off with a bad cold last week, so I am behind in every possible way... Worst is work, but I'll spare you that one. Another thing is the card I was supposed to be blogging on Monday at the Rubber Café Blog, but I never got my blog post finished. This card is based on CPS Sketch #159. It’s great. A really simple card, but I kind of like it.

Greetings

Papers: Bazzill and a piece of beautiful scrap paper…

Stamps: The Rubber CaféIris, Season’s Greetings 2

Ink: Adirondack(Pitch Black), Versa Fine

Decos: Spellbinders Fancy Tags, Lable One. Colored with Copics.

And last week I got three awards from the sweetest persons around. I never came around to do this properly but I’m truly honored and happy about recieving them. Thank you Li-bee ti, Michele and Sofia!!! And sorry it took me so long and that I'm doing it like this. You are the best!

Super Sketchy Sunday

Wohoo, it’s Sunday! A grey and cold and non springy Sunday, but I love it anyway. Cause it’s time for a new Super Sketchy Sunday with 365 cards!

As always, we have a super fun and inspiring sketch by Pam to play with.

I’ve had so many ideas floating around my poor sick little head this week, when working with this. Love this sketch, it’s on my top three Pam sketch list (and that is one tough list to enter!). It has so many possiblities. Well, I had to make up my mind and since my sewing machine is on a break, I went with the blingy idea.

Grattis Ebba

Papers: Bazzill, Webster’s pages
Stamps: Stämpelboden – sentiment, Hero Arts - butterflies
Ink: Versa Fine
Decos: Ribbon, Prima swirl, butterflies colored with copics.

I made this card for this weekend’s birthday party. Since I’ve been sick, I didn’t have any possibility to get into town to buy a present, so we decided to go for a money and lottery ticket gift for once. (I prefer a real present, but…) I made a pocket for that on the inside with a favorite piece of the patterned paper. I’ve been hoarding these Webster’s for ages, but since I got me some new ones, it was easier to start cutting!

Grattis Ebba - insida

I hope you will play along with the Super Sketchy Sunday cause I can’t wait to see what you create out of this!

Have a lovely Sunday!

Happy Spring

Earlier this morning I was outside to get the morning paper and imagine this: 6 am, the sun is UP, I didn’t freeze to death, I heard birds sing and the beautiful sound of pouring WATER. Do you know what this mean, folks??? It’s SPRING! Wohooo! I’ve had this silly smile on my face ever since!

And that did, of course, call for the making of a spring card. This is what I did this morning.

Happy Spring

Papers: Bazzill, Webster’s pages.
Stamps: Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps
Ink: Memento
Decos: Ribbon, Spellbinders nestabilities, QK circle cookie cutters.

I used the oh so fab sketch of the week over at OCC. Check it out! Today’s challenge over at 365 cards is making noise (!). And the gorgeous inspiration card by Heidi made me want to make a shaker card. It was quite some time since I last did one. Don’t know why, they are really cool! Making noise and having secrets to be revealed!

I hope you all will have a lovely Saturday, and I hope you come back tomorrow, when it’s time for a new Super Sketchy Sunday with 365 cards.

I draw a total blank for a week. Then I simply started to play with this most adorable Manatee and everything fell into place. Every girl needs a mirror to check out her tail!Blog hop March She is called Manathree and comes with a set of hilarious and VERY useful sentiments. She is colored up with my Copcis and I added some stickles on the bikini dots to give her some flair. Hope you like it!

I’m not dead…

…only having a BAD cold. Yikes! I haven’t been scrapbooking or card making for days and it feels really strange. And it also means I have absolutely nothing new to share today. Nada. Zip. Zero. Except for a woot! Check THIS out!! I won a scraplift challenge over at one of my favorite inspiration blogs Ideas for Scrapbooker. And there is this magnificent prize sponsored by GCD Studios.  I can hardly wait to lay my hands on the yummyness of the Homespun Chic collection. Woot!!! Here is the page with my sweet son and his new cousin.

2 coola killar I’ll be back tomorrow with the monthly Firecracker Designs Blog Hop – and that means a new card! And it was a tough card to make – the theme is, well, NOT EASY. (Do you hear this, Pam or whoever is responsible??? NOT EASY!!!) But it turned out pretty ok! Finally. Well I’m off for bed again. Take care! And I hope you pop in tomorrow!

Spring Card

The ad over at 365 cards challenge today is baskets with beautiful Easter eggs painted with blue flowers. An inspiration for sure. I’m not much of an Easter card kind of gal, but it inspired me to do a blue spring card with ribbon. I kept it very simple, and tried to make a card in less than 20 minutes. I managed to do it in 15, but I did have this fab Iris from The Rubber Café already colored up.

Iris

Papers: Bazzill, Dream Street Papers, October Afternoon.
Stamp: The Rubber Café - Iris
Ink: Versa Fine, Distress ink
Decos: Spellbinders nestabilities, fancy tags, ribbon from stash.

It’s simple, and done in no time, but I kind of like it. Now I’ll go back to my layout projects. See ya!

Super Sketchy Sunday

It’s finally time for the best moment of the week – the launch of a new Super Sketchy Sunday Challenge.

As always, Pam has made a fab sketch, and this one is very special for me since it was also part of the DT call. Here it is:

And I really like my take. The colors turned out really nice and that butterfly from The Rubber Café is a beauty.

Thank You

Papers: Bazzill, Dream Street Papers.
Stamps: The butterfly is from The Rubber CaféLarge Highwing Butterfly, Sentiment is from Fire Cracker Designs by PamelaA little bird told me.
Ink: Memento - Cocoa
Decos: Prima pearls, MME button, floss from Karen Foster, ribbon from stash, flower punch, butterfly colored with copics.

The second card that was  included in the call was supposed to be made from a past 365 cards challenge. I choose one of my favorites from day 334: The 3 B’s – Blue Blossom and emBoss

Tesa_Jan06

Papers: Bazzill, Melissa Frances
Stamps: Firecracker Designs by PamelaYoo HOOO! set.
Ink: Versa Fine, Distress Ink
Decos: Embossing folder from Provo Craft, Flowers from Prima, Brad – Basic Grey.

And the fun thing is, with some interpretation, this card is very similar in design to the sketch… And I think Pam likes this one better, cause she choose to showcase this one on today’s 365 cards post. LOL!

Wish you all a fabbie Sunday! And be sure to play with the sketch!!! It’s great!

Beautiful Saturday

Hi folks! Hope you are enjoying the weekend! We are having a beautiful day around here. Son and hubby are skiing, and I’m at home, alone, and I’m supposed to be cleaning. And I will. In time… I started the day with making a card. Tehee. It’s called prioritizing! Right Rose!?! Tesa_mars1

Papers: Bazzill, Basic Grey, Pink Paislee
Stamp: Prickley Pear Rubber StampsVintage music collage
Ink: Versa Fine
Decos: Prima pearl swirl, YouDo brads, Nestabilities

Lot’s of layers on this one. And loads of 3D foam. The design is based on Get Sketchy’s sketch #29. And I’ve also made the day 13 challenge over at 365 cards – A whole new dimension. Hence the loads of 3D foam.

I can’t procrastinate the cleaning any more. I’m sorry to say.

Celebrate!

It’s Friday!

Friday is a good day! I love Fridays! Once I have my kind of important meeting over and done with by 3 pm, I'm good for the weekend. I will cook something really delish tonight, have a glass of wine and totally relax for the first time in like forever. Life is good!

Here is a card I did last night. I saw some of my friends making the most awesome cards out of the sketch from OCC. I had to try that one out! And I combined it with the celebration theme challenge over at Cute Card Thursday. I kind of like it. Love these Prima papers!

CelebratePapers: Bazzill, Prima. Stamps: Firecracker Designs by Pamela - Paper Roses, Magnolia. Ink: Versa Fine. Decos: Flowers from Prima, MS Edge Punch, Ribbons, colored with Tombows.

I have to tell you about the nicest surprise I got in my mail yesterday. A white envelope with the most magnificent red Prima flowers in it. No sender, no card, no nothing. All I know is that a very sweet woman with a beautiful handwriting and a great taste of flowers made me happy. THANK YOU!

It doesn't take much to make people happy, and I promised myself - after recieving this RAK and after reading Kim's post earlier this morning, (about taking the time to snail mail more of the cards we're making) - that I will do more of that in the future. Starting today actually.

Wishing you all a lovely Friday!

Wishes & Kisses

I had a color chock yesterday (you might recall an orange, blue and purple card that was somewhat bright and screamy...) so I thought I'd go easy on the colors today to even things up a bit. =P

The 365 cards challenge - day 11 already, can you imagine!?! - is to make a landscape background out of patterned papers. I layered some beautiful prima scraps and I hope you see the hint of the green grass and the pink and blue sunset sky behind the adorable couple.

Wishes & KIsses

I got a lovely sheet of vintage cut out images this weekend, so that's what i've used here. No stamps at all (chock!). The design is based on the beautiful sketch from CardPatterns.

Now back to work. I have an important meeting tomorrow which I have to prepare. Wish me luck!

Wacky colors???

Yeah, for SURE! I think this is a new record from Pam at 365 cards. Blue, Purple and Orange… Do you feel it??? The scent of Pam’s special coffee??? Well I simply had to try that combination, if only to see if it would really work - and I didn’t even cheat. Only some black for the stamps, all the rest is blue, purple and orange!

Some mornings...

Papers: Bazzill, Kaiserkraft, Dream Street Papers
Digis: Firecracker Designs by PamelaSeahorse and sentiment
Decos: Stickles, ribbon, MS edge punch, Fancy Tags from Spellbinders.

What do you think? I think I like it. Love this seahorse… thehee. I soooo know that feeling. Really! =P

I've used the fab sketch over at Papertake Weekly - go check it out, it's really great!

And here is the second layout I did this weekend. The challenge was to use ONLY white, grey and black, the photo was allowed to be colored though. Adorable You Isn’t he adorable??? This photo was taken 1,5 years ago, and I’ve been saving it for something, don’t know what. I’m glad I finally used it. The curly cut out stamps are from the set I won with the first layout. LOVE them!!!

Have a sunny wonderful day!

What a wonderful world!

The challenge at 365 cards today is a wonderful song inspired one. It brightened my day up for sure! I love this song, it’s so full of hope and summer. Bring on the summer!!! Here is my take on it, using the fab sketch from Mojo Monday. Life is like a song

Papers: Bazzill Kraft, Cosmo Cricket
Stamps: Firecracker Designs by PamelaButter/Dragon Fly, The artful Stamper – the Rose, Papertrey Ink – Sentiment.
Ink: Versa Fine, Distress ink, Color box chalk
Decos: Ribbon, embossing folder, glossy accent.

I also thought I’d share the first layout from this past weekend’s crop. The challenge was to use embossing, ribbon, metal and flowers.  The page is about this freaking winter we are having. Love these Bo Bunny papers!!! I was happy to win this one, and I got a goodie bag filled with yummy stamps, bling and a Pro Marker holder bag. Oh joy!Värsta vintern There wont be any photos from the crop though… I’m one lousy photographer and even worse scrapbooker. On day one, I simply forgot to use my camera. I was totally absorbed by everything going on. When I got home I found out I had taken four photos… yep. Well. I did have bigger ambitions for day 2. What did I do? I forgot my memory card in the computer…

Have a great day folks!

I’m so happy today…

….to bring you my first ever Super Sketchy Sunday Card for the 365 cards challenge blog as a DT member. Woot Woot!!!

And a fab  and challenging sketch it is! Even though I think Pam is taking it somewhat easy with us, the newbies, on our first week…

It’s also a special week, since we are having Stretch N’ Bubbles sponsoring with some cute and whimsical digis for you to win. More info will come on 365 cards.  I loved the image I got to play with. Too cute, and I wanted to make it really colorful, thought it would suite the fun image,  so I paper pieced it with some of my favorite patterned paper scraps.

#1b

Papers: Bazzill Basics, Heidi Swapp, Basic Grey, Kaiserkraft

Stamps: Stretch N’ Bubbles, Prima

Ink: Versa Fine

Decos: Pompom from Fancy Pants, Stars are QK and some glossy accent

I also popped the space ship on dimensional foam to get a more spacey feeling and added glossy accents on the stars.

#1

And now I can’t wait to see what you all creates with this sketch!!!

Some sweet gals (and I really mean SWEET, sweet as could be) have been asking where I’ve been lately. Well I’ll tell ya’ll! I’ve been working. On Friday I delivered 200+ pages of my dissertation to the reader who will comment on it on my last ever seminar before I go up. I’m a wreck I can tell. And once delivered Friday afternoon, my parents picked me up at work since my dear husband took the bus home and never gave me the car keys… So I spent Friday night with getting the key, having dad drive me back to get the car, grocery shop, make dinner, entertain my guests, do the dishes, aaaand by 9.30 PM start making my name tag and pack up my stuff for a 2 day crop. The packing went so and so… fortunately the crop was also accompanied by loads of shopping opportunities… Let’s say I managed… Teheee. Yesterday was a fantastic day, I met so many friends and had so many laughs. I scrapbooked some too…

My mom is also participating on the crop, she is a newbie, and mainly a card maker. But yesterday she did her second ever layout for a challenge with a pic of her and her new grandson Sixten. And you know what???? She ended up first runner up with that one!!!! WOHOOO!!! I’ll share that and more photos tomorrow, but here is a sneek peak on one of the challenge layouts.

Träffen_2010 mar 05_5026_redigerad-1And wooot woot! I won the challenge I participated in!!! I’ll share tomorrow! With photos from the crop too – can you imagine, I had so much to do, I forgot to take photos!

You’ll have a wonderful day!

What a week!

I’m having this deadline on Friday and it feels like I’m working day and night. Since I left dear son in the loving care of my parents on Sunday, it feels like I haven’t moved from the computer. Except for trying to make a card or two (pure therapy!). Here is today’s try to make a card, but this one was hard. Couldn’t get ANYTHING to match, so I finally decided to go monochromatic white, and actually do this card for ME, dreaming of summer, new hope, new life with butterflies and vacation with NO DEADLINES!

Tale Flight

Paper: Bazzill Basics
Stamp: Papertrey Ink
Ink: Versa Fine
Decos: Butterfly from Heidi Swapp, pearls from Kaiserkraft, brads – American Crafts,

The design is based on the beautiful sketch of the week over at 2sketches4you, and I also tried my best with Pam’s challenging challenge String art over at 365 cards. (Gloria and Rose – do you think she’s on that coffee again???)

See you!

Hi again. This is the second post today (you can find my toot from earlier HERE). I’m still excited… tehee. We have another snow storm going on, so I took the car and drove home by lunch to be sure to GET home. I so hate this. March is supposed to be first spring month, but nobody seems to have told it to whom ever it concerns. Gahhhh!

Ok. I’m done. I promise, no more posts today. Have a great new week and thanks for stopping by!

Oh, Happy Day!!!

I have the best of news to share today and since I’m no good at keeping secrets and this has struggled hard to come out I will simply spill it. In the best of manners I know…

WAHOOOO!

I MADE THE 365 CARDS TEAM!!!

I’m overly excited, I can tell you that!

If you follow my blog, you know that 365 Cards is my number one source of inspiration. And to team up with all the überly talented ladies and Pam’s intriguing challenges over there is such an honor! I’m happy! Very happy. Wihiii!

Yesterday, while sitting on this, we visited this guy and the rest of his family.2010 feb 27_4994He was not in the best of moods…

And we also left this handsome young man in the care of his grandparents.

2010 feb 23_4938He’ll spend the holiday there since we are working. He will be spoiled rotten after a few days. Oh the plans they have – going to the movies, playing bowling, going to the Fun Factory… I miss him, but he wont have time to miss me. *sniff*

Talking about my mom… She won my blog candy the other day as you might recall. Do you think she was grateful??? Oh, noooo…. it turned out that she didn’t even know she was entering anything. She blames it on the fact that she doesn’t see very well (ok, she doesn’t…) and that she doesn’t read English very well (ok, she doesn’t), BUT!!! Tehee, but she loved it once she understood…

If I get home in time for some daylight, I might be able to post my take on yesterday’s Super Sketchy Sunday card, otherwise, see you tomorrow and THANKS for letting me share my good news!
