Card Patterns Guest DT

Hi folks! I have a card today done with the new Card Pattern’s sketch #75. I had the honor to be chosen to be a guest designer this week with this card! Soooo much fun!!!

GD

As always, this week’s sketch is FAB!!!

And here is my take of it – I followed it pretty close:

Augusti 1bI got some new Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps earlier this week, so I got them inked up and went for a clean vintage look for another try at the  Moxie Fab’s Card Style Shabby Chick and Vintage Challenge.

The patterned papers are all from Riddersholm Design, a Danish manufacturer that make beautiful vintage looking papers. They are having a giveaway HERE, for anybody making a project using their paper.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a lovely weekend!!!

Hug the dog I used Laura’s lovely sketch #57 from 2Sketches4you.

Monday morning…

…and the sky is grey and the rain is pouring. A perfect day to go to work. I will not long for the beach one minute today! LOL!

I made a card last night for Moxie Fab World’s Let’s Do Shabby or Vintage Challenge. I thought my new Birdcage dies and stamps would be perfect for this theme.

Thinking of you 3

The design is inspired by this week’s sketch from Card Patterns. As usual a mighty good one! Aaaand, I'm also entering this card in Jenny's Wee memories' Scrappy Saturday Challenge # 15 - to stamp (a REALLY tough one... LOL!!!).

Better get on that bus bound for work. So a short one it is. Have a lovely Monday!!!

Create Beauty

You can find the beautiful takes of this sketch by the DT here!!! You don’t want to miss it!!!

My parents are here visiting and we’ve had a lot of fun. Yesterday we went to a Viking centre for a fair and some fun. Dear son loved it… Needless to say… Vikings, weapons, ships… It was his dream come true.

These weren’t very common on the Viking Tings… but they were fun looking at! They were soooo skilled!!!

My parents had fun to. Here, my dad is having the weirdest conversation EVER with “Brother Christopher”.

It was fun! And when we came home, mom and I continued experimenting with making coffee filter flowers. Check them out HERE. Love how they came out!

Adorable

TGIF!!!

And a good Friday it is. I took the day off!!!

We had a blast last night, delish food, an ice cream dessert to die for and a movie with a LOT of action. And a couple of beers, or make that three…. So a day off it is… Today I’ve cleaned the house, made a couple of layouts and a card. And now I’m waiting for my son and my parents to arrive. I’ll hug my baby forever (he’s been staying with my parents for almost a WEEK!!!), have a barbeque and then mom and I will create coffee filter flowers. So it will be a great evening.

Here is one of the layouts I did today. It’s my sweet mom and her baby grandson, Sixten.

SötaAren’t they adorable??? I’ve played with this week’s sketch from Sketchy Thursdays. I love their sketches! So much! And I love my Bo Bunny papers… More of that fun Block Party line. Great colors! And finally some stamps I love… the flowers are the Hibiscus from Prickley Pear, paper pieced and mounted on 3D foam. The splashes is also a stamp from Prickley Pear.

Here is the sketch I used! Fun!!!

Have a great Friday, and thanks for stopping by!

New Try

Good morning! I’m off for work in a bit but wanted to share the card I did last night first. Yeah, no date with hubby as planned. I got the migraine by lunch and went home and slept like a baby until late afternoon. We’ll make a new try tonight. Keep your fingers crossed nothing spoils this!!!

Enough of wining, and over to the card instead.

Thinking of You Hibiscus

Used lot’s of scraps on this one and coffee filters for the flowers – that was a first for me, but not the last!!! Tracy made a great flower tutorial over at the Prickley Pear blog  yesterday using coffee filters and the Hibiscus flower and leaf die. I had to try that.

Thinking of you Hibiscus detalI sprayed it with a mist of perfect pearls and vintage photo distress ink and it has a beautiful dimension and glimmer. Thanks Tracy, loved this!!!

The card is based on the fabbie sketch #73 over at Card Patterns. Isn’t it a great one!?!

Sooo keep your fingers crossed for good weather and a nice dinner at a fancy restaurant for me and hubby tonight! Have a great day!

Clean and simple

Good Monday! We have had a grey and windy day today with some rain, and I must say it was pretty nice after weeks of beautiful sunshine. I know I will regret I ever said that… but TODAY it was niiiiice, especially since I’ve been sitting in an archive reading old papers all day.

I have a clean and simple card today, using the Large Highwing Butterfly from The Rubber Café. Love this butterfly!!! It has been resting for a couple of months after intense use… but I thought it was about time for it to fly again…

Heartfelt thanksI used the oh so fab sketch #9  over at EBTKS which I found cause some of my blogging buddies did some AWESOME cards with it. Like this (I’m in love with that ribbon!!!!)  and this (soooo classy clean and simple!!!)…. Know what I mean!!! LOL! Well I had to give it a try. I’m also entering it in SRM Sticker’s July contest – Clean and simple. That fabbie sentiment is a SRM Stickers. Love them to bits!!!

If you are up for the chance of winning some gorgeous Prickley Pear clear stamps and coordinating dies, there is a blog hop going on! Today it’s Nicole, Jenny, Anya and Leslie showcasing the Hot Air Baloon Set, and I’ll be back tomorrow with my samples using the Birdcage set with the rest of the Prickley Pear Design Team.

Hope to see you then!

Fun in the sun

Third post today… Strange, I know. But I made a page when I came home out of a sketch I’ve had on my desk for quite some time. I’ve been waiting for the right papers to land on my doorstep. Well, they did this Friday and the sketch challenge ends tonight…

Here is my page with some Sunny Bo Bunny papers and two of my favorite girls – my mom and my niece on midsummer celebration. They match!!! And they also match both papers and the turquoise color in the color twist! LOL!

SunshineAnd here is the fab sketch (and prize and color combo) by BeckyFleck over at Page Maps Blog

Page Maps Love this sketch, and I’m really happy with how my page turned out. This is the last post for today. Promise!!!

Prickley Pear Sneak Peeks

Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps is releasing 2 new sets of clear stamps with coordinating die cuts. The two sets, which are the Birdcage and Hot Air Balloon sets are just in time for summer and will be available for purchase on July 19th, the launch day of our hop. Sold separately, these sets coordinate beautifully to create stamped images that can be die cut perfectly around the shape. How cool is that?

It's so cool, in fact, that we want to give some away. So we are hosting a blog hop the 19th and 20th. You'll have the chance to say what you think of the new products and of course, the chance to WIN.

I have a little sneak peek of two of the cards I did with the Birdcage set.

If you want to see some more sneak peeks, with this set, visit Prickley Pear and Tracy and check back with Prickley Pear Blog on the 19th for the launch of the Hot Air Balloon set Blog Hop, and me on the 20th for the Birdcage Blog Hop!!!

We have a great sample in store!

Hi!

It’s Saturday morning and it’s a beautiful day. Perfect! We are celebrating love today, attending my cousins wedding later this afternoon.

I started on this card last weekend, as soon as Card Patterns released their new and awesome sketch. REALLY loved this one. But I never finished it, work and DT assignments first you know… But I woke up soooo early yesterday that I had 20 minutes to spare so I finished it. Kept it really simple, letting the beautiful papers and flower do all the talking!

Card Patterns The stamp and die are from the Hibiscus set from Prickley Pear. Love this set!!! And I have good news! We are having a new release of clear stamps and dies starting om Monday, with a blog hop. I’ll be back tomorrow with a sneak peek.

Take care!

Wedding

My youngest cousin is getting married on Saturday. I love weddings and I’m really looking forward to this. Here is the card I made for them.

Ida o Daniel I made a box as an envelope making some paper roses. They are having a green and white wedding, so I used their colors.

Ida o Daniel sidan-1 And here is the card in the box. I decorated the inside too, but I forgot to take photos. I guess you get the idea… white and green… LOL!Ida o Daniel insida I put down quite a bit of work in this, and I had this clear image in my head what I wanted it to look like. It didn’t even come close… Oh well, it will do.

I’ll be back on Sunday with two post, the Super Sketchy Sunday with 365 cards and later with a sneak peak for new awesome clear stamps and dies from Prickley Pear.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Celebrate

Happy Monday!

Hope your week had a good start! I’ve spent my day at work, and I can tell you that there is NOTHING as empty as the University at summer. Loooong corridors and nooooo people but the ones who struggle to get their thesis done.

I have a couple of cards to share. The last Football World Cup projects… (best part with that whole thing was all the free time I got to spend by my scrap table while the men were glued in front of the tellie).  Happy Birthday 3This is a sketch by Lisa, our DT coordinator over at The Rubber Café. It’s part of the DT search that is going on, and I loved it and thought I’d use it for today’s post over at the blog.   The stamps used are from the wonderful Birthdays and Balloons set. And isn’t the cloudy MME paper simply darling????

Next up is a quickie I did with some Bo Bunny papers based on the FAB Laura’s sketch #56 over at 2Sketches4You. Mom did the same challenge and she just blogged her card. So fun, it’s like scrapping together even though it’s via the phone and computer! You can find her take here.

Celebrate 2 Love the colors of this Block Party line, the deep and warm chocolate  and red. Yummy.

I’m off for bed. Thanks for stopping by!

May your life be like a wildflower…

Happy Sunday! It’s time for a new Super Sketch from Pam and 365 Cards!

We have a great sketch this week (ehhhm, we always do, but this one is sort of a favorite!) And we have a fab sponsor! It’s time for a new Ippity Stamps Week!

Our sponsor is Kim Bell and you can check out her blog HERE!!!

Do you see the endless possiblities with this baby? Thought so. Here is my take.

May your...I decided to stay with one piece of patterned papers and masked off the different squares with  not it paper, and stamped the different flower stamps from the Hibiscus clear stamps set from Prickley Pear. Then I enhanced the blocks with some stitching. May the... detalj You can find the DT samples of the sketch over at 365 cards blog! You should go check them out, they are AWESOME!!

I have a layout to share today too. I did it this morning to pamper myself for the fact that while my boys will spend the day at the beach, I will be working. *sniff'*

No PhotosLOVEEEEE these Mama-razzi papers from Bo Bunny! They don’t come better than this! Had some troubles cutting in them, but when I saw the Sketchy Thursdays challenge this week, I knew they would be perfect. I’m such a lousy Mama-razzi. Most of the time I get a palm or a really, REALLY blurred photo due to the “victim’s” detection of the photographer and a quick maneuver to get away. Oh well…

Have a wonderful Sunday folks!!!

Fun in the sun

I got my boys back from their vacation yesterday. It was soooo good to have them home again! They slept in this morning. I thought they’d never wake up, scheeez… living in tent must have wore them out. That gave me on the other hand four hours all by my self this morning and I ended up making a card and a layout.

Funin the sunI have struggled with this one, I can tell you. Li-bee ti wants me to go more wild and crazy and gave me a “no straight lines” challenge. She wanted my usual all lined up sort of style to develop some. I think it did. I was also to use 1-3 photos with the maximum size of 6x4, 1-3 patterned papers, 1-3 ribbons, paint and bling.

The card I made is based on Sketch Saturday #111. A fab sketch it is! I flipped it and masked some Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.

Bloom onOkidoki. I’m heading out in the sun. Hubby will be home soon with a new lawnmower (yeah, I’m doing a happy dance, that is EXACTLY what I would like to spend our money on this summer!) and I’ll have the honor to take it on a premier tour around the garden.

I’ll be back tomorrow with 365 cards super sketchy Sunday. Take care!

I got amazing new stamps from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps today. THIS one aaaand a new set that will be released on a blog hop later this month. It is worth waiting for, I can tell you! Mmmm. Anyway, I made a card with the Hibiscus set using the great sketch #146 from Mojo Monday.

Thinking of youThinking of you detalj

I had a happy mail day yesterday too. I got a box filled with yummy Bo Bunny. So much color and fun shapes! I used the sketch from Bo Bunny’s Layout challenge Friday – great sketch with lot’s of layers! I used photos from dear son’s birthday, when he opened his presents. Since he is born on Christmas, he is spoiled rotten that day. Waking up in a pile of presents, knowing it’s only the start… LOL!

Bortskämd... I’m off. I have new stamps to play with… Thanks for stopping by!!!
