Prickley Pear Monday

Hi Peeps! Hope your weekend was a real good one! Mine was great. The weather was like summer, warm and sunny and the spring flowers are up (so I’ll remember that when the snow comes on Thursday…) We had friends over for dinner, whiskey and Mahjong on Friday. It was so much fun and I tried a new dessert that was heaven. Yay!

Here is today’s Prickley Pear card. With a new favorite cutie pie! The Duck in Tub!

Duck Pond

He is colored with Distress inks: Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold and Wild Honey. The water got some stickles on it, so it sparkles. Love the paper piece from Echo Park – please feed the ducks! :)

Duck pond 2

The flowers are stamped twice and mounted on 3d foam. With some yellow pearl maker in the centers.

The design is based on Card Pattern’s Sketch 158. It’s a great one. As always!

My second card is for this month’s Prickley Pear Sketch Challenge. It’s due March 31 so there is still time! This sketch is super fun too!!!

And my take:

Easer Bunny

I’m using super cute Bunny with Egg and Happy Everything.

All info about the Prickley Pear sketch challenge can be found HERE!

Have a fab new week!!!

Happy Times

Yay! What a week! I took the time and found inspiration to play with both of my favorite card challenges – it’s been ages since I did that. This card is for Card Patterns’ sketch 157.

Happy Times

Yummy Echo Park papers. I can’t get enough of this line. :) And the stamps are from The Rubber Café. The Through a Window set is beautiful and with so many possibilities.

I made a scenery with a few lines of Aquarell water color pens from Faber Castell and water on water color paper. Then I stamped Yellow Foxtail and Green Foxtail over it to make it look like beach grass. Then I stamped the window stamp right over it. To get a glass look, I covered it all with a few layers of Utee.

Happy Times 2

I stamped the window stamp once again on white cardstock and cut out the frame and mounted over my scenery window with 3d foam.

It’s hard to photograph, but here is some Utee shine in the sun

Happy Times 3

Ok, now I’m off to work, and wont be back until Friday afternoon. Such a busy few days ahead! Yikes!

Thanks for stopping by!

Prickley Pear Monday

Hi! Happy Monday! I’m popping in real quick before work to share my Prickley Pear card. It’s a cutie. I’ve been longing to pull out my 6 Chicks in a Row since last Easter. :)

Happy Easter

The chicks are colored with Distress inks: Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold and Rusty Hinge on water color paper. The sentiment is Happy Everything.

The card is based on today’s CAS sketch over at SCS.

The Prickley Pear Blog is filled with Monday inspiration. The Design Team is AMAZING!  Go check it out!

Happy Birthday Chick!

Hi!
I have a CAS card I did last weekend for The Rubber Café blog using the ohhhh sooooo cute County Fair set. I had a special person in mind who turned 29 (for the 12th time ehhmmm) this week. And a card with chicks is perfect for her (long story, but trust me on this).

She liked it. The chicks are adorable. And with the extra googly eyes they look even cuter.

TGIF! Sitting at work, waiting for the printer to do it's job so that I can start my tour handing out national tests for try outs on schools today. Then, my folks, it's weekend. And we'll start it with getting our new beauty.

YAY!

Have a fab day!!!

Beautiful lamp and happy birthday

Hi! Happy Sunday! I hope your weekend’s been a good one!

I’ve been spending some time in my scrap room, making a layout for my Barcelona album and a much needed birthday card for a friend turning 50 next week.

fina lampor

The page is about all the ûber cool lamps that was sprinkled all over town. Our favorite was this dragon lamp by La Rambla.

I based the design on a beautiful sketch by Jana Eubank and you can find it HERE. And I’m entering my page in Cheery Lynn’s Challenge 18 – Doilies. I’m using the magnificent French Pastry Doily on my page. The papers are all yummy Echo Park.

And here is my card using some lovely PTI stamps.

I did the card for today’s Featured Stamper Challenge over at SCS. HERE is the card I lifted – pure CAS perfection!

Time to make dinner. Thanks for stopping by!

LESSology #12 Photo Block Challenge

First – TGIF!!!!! Sitting here relaxing with a cold, dry wonderful white wine and feel like there is light in the tunnel. :) What a week. What a day! But it’s been good, I’ve made some huge progress work wise, I’m up to date with most of my tasks (except my thesis…) and there might be a national test for the 6th graders next year! YAY!

LESSology launched the Photo Block Challenge on Monday!

We have a fantastic sponsor, Scrapping Sports and More!

The challenge is simple – make a photo block and include an up cycled item and link it up HERE. And if you want some ideas about what a photo block might be – go check out the LESSology Blog – there are loads of inspiration!!!

Here is my take on the Photo Blocks challenge. I did a 2x2x2 block with photos from our summer vacation last year and a nice sentiment to go. Lots of green, such a happy color! Thought this would take us through the last month until next vacation...

As a base for my block, I used an old jewelry box. It was blue and a little thin, so I started with painting the corners with white gesso and cover it all with cardstock go get a sturdy structure.

Hope to see you play!!!

Have a wonderful Friday!!!

Hi!

Feels like ages. :) I’ve had the worst flu ever. Scheeez. And then I’ve been catching up with life. Family and work first, but now I can’t wait to get the latest updates in blog land! :) I had like 2000 posts in my reader and I decided to start over from scratch. Stress management!

Here are a couple of projects I haven’t blogged yet. It’s while waiting for some new scrap time and some new projects…

Sunny Days_redigerad-1

I was asked to make an inspiration card for my favorite challenge over at SCS – the Inspiration Challenge hosted by SmilynStef. The task was to find inspiration from a photo over at the Superfine Bakery gallery. They have THE most amazing cakes, and I picked a classy creation in white, grey and yellow. (photo no 2 in the gallery). LOVE the colors. And my Cocoa Daisy bird stamp!

Next card is for a tutorial of using utee I did for the Prickley Pear Blog. You can find the tut HERE (it’s the same technique I used for THIS card.)

happy Anniversary

I used the Mini Birds Clear Stamps Set and Mini Birds Die from Prickley Pear.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
