Hello!

Long time no see!

Glad to be back, hoping a new router and less thunder will keep me on line from now on! :)

Here is a quick card with a new stamp from Prickley Pear - Evelyn. Love her 20’s vintage look!

Hello lady

Hello Evelyn 1

Hello Evelyn 2

The flower and the sentiment are from the Hibiscus 2 Clear Stamps Set. Love how perfect the coordinated Mini Hibiscus Die cuts the flower!

Be sure to visit the Prickley Pear blog if you want some more Prickley Pear inspiration. The DT is amazing!!!

For my design, I used the square sketch from Mojo Monday:

And I’m entering it in the Stamp it! Cards Hello challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

Gamleby Hamn

HI! Happy Monday!

I have a layout to share today! I had tons of fun to make this!!! I love scrapbooking, just don’t seem to find the time. I’m such a slow scrapper!

Gamleby Hamn

The page is about a favorite place – the Harbor in my home community. I spent many an early summer morning here as a child, fishing with my dad. It’s a magic place, and when we went there a couple of years ago with my son, I could feel the calm, the happiness and the love I felt as a child. It was a magical moment.

Here is a close up on the stamping and splattering. :) Said I had tons of fun making this!!! The border stamp is from the Scalloped Oval Clear Stamps Set from Prickley Pear. It’s wonderful!!!

And some clouds, even though the sky this particular day was blue as ever. The clouds are from the Hot Air Balloon Clear Stamps Set.

I used this fun sketch from Cocoa Daisy.

If you want more inspiration using the Prickley Pear stamps and dies, the Prickley Pear Blog is filled with fabulous projects by the DT!

In dreams

Hi! Hope you are having a lovely weekend! We are at home, cleaning, gardening (between the showers) washing. All the things that have been neglected because of a crazy work life. It feels good. I finally feel like I’m slowly about to catch up on things! YAY!

AND! Best of all, I have had time to play!!! Here is a card just because!

In dreams vellum

I played along with this week’s Featured Stamper challenge over at SCS. I loved THIS card and had to try the vellum pocket design.

I knew I had some vellum pockets somewhere. But after a good 20 minutes search I gave up and made my own out of plain vellum (and also realized that reorganizing would be a good idea).

Here is a close up of the Hibiscus flower from the Hibiscus 2 Clear Stamps Set from Prickley Pear. The sentiment In dreams and the little flower border from Hot Air Balloon Clear Stamps Set are also from Prickley Pear.

And finally, the inside. Decorated with a Mini Hibiscus from the same set.

I have two projects to share today! First up is a card where I’ve played with amazing metallic gelatos! Yummy!!!

Hi 1

I did the blue background pieces by making a mix of blue metallic gelato and water and simply paint a piece of white cardstock. I used a quite thick mix that gives a good cover. It shines beautifully!!!

gelatos

I filled a mini mister with what was left and now I have a perfect light blue glimmery mist for future projects!

Hi 4

Here is a close up on the stamped background, I painted the big 18th Century Proclamation background stamp with different shades of blue and green Stamper’s Big Brush Pens and stamped it on the gelato piece.

Hi 2

The Small Trailing Butterflies are also colored with Stamper’s Big Brush Pens: green and orange. These pens are AMAZING! They can be used as ordinary markers, BUT they can be used with water before they set which makes shading a piece of cake!!!

Hi 5

The Stamper´s Big Brush Pens are great for stamping too. Perfect when one wants different colors on one stamp or, like here, one want to stamp only part of a bigger stamp. Like the butterflies in the top right corner.

I had super fun trying a few new (to me) techniques! On my second card I used my wonderful Aquarelle Watercolor pencils. I looove those!

Cat home 1e

The stamps used on this card are from the Home is Where Your Cat Sleeps set.

Cat home 2

I did this card for the Gingham Challenge over at the Moxie Fab World!!!

Happy Monday!

I had the best of weekends! For sure. A super fun party on Friday after a great dissertation act, no hang over on Saturday and no work all weekend. To make it even better, mom and dad was here visiting and it’s always soooo nice to have them around. ♥♥♥

When they left, I started on the cards for the coming week, like this card for Prickley Pear.

Wishing you well 5

Lot’s of Prickley Pear goodies on this one: Dragonfly from the new Butterflies 2 Clear Stamps Set, cut out with the Dragonfly Die. The dragonfly is copper embossed and sparkles really nice.Likewise with the leafs which are from the Hibiscus 2 Clear Stamps Set, cut out with the Hibiscus Flower and Leaf Die. The sentiment is from the new Hearts 2 Clear Stamps set and finally, loads of stains made with my all time favorite Coffee Stain (good ol’ red rubber).

Wishing you well 2

This card started out as a take on this week’s great Card Patterns sletch – which is sponsored by Prickley Pear!!! But I strayed…  A lot. :)

Oh well, I had fun and the sketch helped get my mojo working.

If you want more Prickley Pear inspiration The Prickley Pear Blog is shock full of gorgeous DT projects today. :)

Today...

...my dear friend, co worker and office neighbor will defend his thesis. A book he's been working on for 11 years. A book that has become a baby of our department. It's a joyous day, to say the least! :) And the party tonight will be soooo much FUN!!! And I got the honor to make the card from the Historians of our Faculty. I made a book. It seemed appropriate... :)

I filled the inside with the front cover of his book along with cut out photos of him and the main characters in the book (which is about the Theosophical Society´s engagement in the Indian political and educational processes in early 20th century, so yes, it's Gandhi's head popping up together with Annie Besant and others...).

All patterned paper used are from the FABULOUS new Riddersholm Design Fleamarket collection. YAY! Love every piece of it!!!

Here is another card using the same Riddersholm Design papers.

I used a stamp my mom has owned for ages and never inked up. It's a shame... :)

I added some pearl maker in the centers, but other than that I kept it clean.

Have a wonderful Friday!!!
