The Rubber Cafe New Release Blog Hop

Welcome to The Rubber Cafe new release blog hop. This is Day # 1 and you'll be hopping with Michele and myself!!

If you just happened to visit my blog today and would like to start this BLOG HOP from the beginning, simply follow THIS LINK to be taken to The Rubber Cafe blog to begin the celebration.

There will be a Grand Prize for one lucky winner – the bundle below - plus smaller prizes along the way so be sure to stop at each blog and leave a comment to be registered. Don't forget to also leave a comment on each main blog post at The Rubber Cafe too.

We are celebrating the newest release called On The Fence Bundle:

This bundle comes with a brand new exclusive die template manufactured by Spellbinders Paper Arts called On the Fence Die! And that is a die I’ve had some serious fun with!!! :)

Joy is a flower 1

For this hop, I decided to make a center step card with loads of layers. (Totally inspired by amazing Desire!) And loads of fussy cutting. Except for the pearls in the flower centers, this card is all stamps from the awesome Window Garden set and butterflies from Small Trailing Butterflies, fussy cut and layered with a ton 3D foam.

While working on this card, I was also multitasking by my computer (a woman fussy cutting a ton of pieces needs her internet breaks!) and was taken by the great  Movement challenge post on the Moxie Fab World blog. And behold, something must have rubbed off on me, cause this card sure makes my eyes move around the card. :) It’s an 8!!! So I’m entering it in the challenge!

Here are a couple of close ups of the card:

Here is a close up of the fence. I used white Pugnacious Signature Paper for almost everything and a few pieces of scrap patterned papers.

Do you see the tulips in the window? :)

I hope you like it and want to play with us over at The Rubber Café!

Love Always

Midweek already! Wohoo! :)

I’m off for work a couple of days – again. This time to Stockholm and not to a conference hotel in the middle of nowhere. Sooooo a bit of shopping is planned Thursday afternoon before heading home. Can’t wait. Haven’t been to a scrap shop all summer due to something the owner of my LSS calls Vacation. Duh! :)

Today’s card is a super CAS card that I’m all giddy about. I was smiling while making it and it actually turned out the way I wanted it – which is RARE!

Love Always

I used the über cute Jar stamp from The Rubber Cafe called Mini Jar and the sentiment Love Always.

I’m entering it in the Focal Point Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

And before I go, next week there will be a super duper FUN blog hop next week celebrating the new release over at The Rubber Café! I just made my card, and let me tell you there are A LOT of fuzzy cutting and even more layers on that one. Hope you come back and play!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Like a rainbow...

Hi all! Happy Monday!

Outside feels like Fall today but I'm not quite ready. The boy starts school on Wednesday and we both wonder where Summer went.  But we had a day of Summer yesterday when visiting friends at their cabin. We had sun and blue skies and swimming in the lake and breakfast and lunch outside. Wonderful!!!

So today's card is more of the sunny sort than not... A CAS card using a fab sketch I found a couple of weeks ago but not remembering where. Anyway, papers are from MME - Miss Caroline. I'm using every scrap! And the stamps are from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps: Scalloped Oval Clear Stamps Set.

I stamped the flower oval and then the sentiment inside it before fuzzy cutting it out, adhering it to black cardstock and on it again with the scissors. The little black flower is also stamped and cut out.

A few layers and loads of 3D foam and it's done.

For more inspiration using Prickley Pear rubber stamps, be sure to visit the blog. The rest of the team has gorgeous projects to share with you today. Many of them using NEW Autumn stamps!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Scatter Kindness

Hi!

I hope you are having a good week! I’m pretty busy. Another two day business trip awaits starting in an hour. Since I wake up early (like VERY early) I had time to play some in my scrap room.

Scatter kindness

I picked up a new MME paper pad yesterday on my way home and I teamed it up with some really old stuff. I’ve had the Pink Paislee die cuts forever. They are beautiful, but I always struggle with pre made die cuts. But this bird and cage definitely found it’s place in a good way. The swirl from Zvaa is even older. The glue on the back had dried up. Feels good to dig into the stash sometimes! :) Making new for the new…

Scatter kindness detalj

The sentiment is from the Hibiscus 2 Clear Stamps Set from Prickley Pear. I use it a lot. I think it is really sweet! :)

I used Mojo Monday’s sketch #254 but I flipped it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Enjoy every moment

Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend. I did. I worked a lot though, I were away on a two day conference Friday to Saturday  but it was really good so it was worth it. And I did find time to play on Sunday so I’m happy. :)

I tried a new card folding for today’s project – an Accordion Card.

bokkort 1

Bokkort 2

Bokkort 3

I had some serious fun making this, teaming up the most beautiful paper there is from Riddersholm DesignHuntington Garden and awesome red rubber and a few clear stamps from Prickley Pear!

The flower stamp is from Hibiscus 2 Clear Stamps set, and the amazing flourish is called Large Vine Flourish. Inside the card I used Flower Silhouettes and the sentiment Life and Love.

I’m playing along with CASE Study´s celebration challenge – to Think out of the box. The folding is new, so I hope it qualifies! :) I found the tutorial on SCS HERE.

Fall Harvest

Hi folks! Happy mid week!!!

We are starting to prepare for a new school year and the feeling of fall is creeping up on me. So I felt like fall colors and fall stamps. AND as it happens, Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps have a new line of red rubber ready to go up in the shop shortly so I inked up the beautiful leaf wreath and teamed it up with leafs from the oh so gorgeous Oak and Maple Leaf Clear Stamps Set. They are cut out with the coordinated Oak and Maple Leaf Die.

Fall Harvest 3

The red rubber leaf wreath is stamped with different colors of Distress inks. I started with inking up the whole stamp with Wild Honey and then went over parts of it with Peeled Paint and Festive Berries. The colors blend together nicely.

Fall Harvest 2

I didn’t have any orange ribbon, so I used the Wild Honey Distress ink and used a blending tool to ink in a white satin ribbon. Think it turned out nicely. :) All the papers used are from Crate, Farmers Market.

I used Mojo Monday sketch #253.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Love Warms Every Nest

Happy Monday!

Back at work again. This weekend ended way to soon!!! Spent most of it cleaning or sneezing and let me tell you, I don't enjoy any of it. :) But I do enjoy the look of our former guinea pig room now when it's been cleaned from floor to ceiling. Our last guinea pig died on Thursday, way over due. Poor thing. Now we'll turn his space to a game center. We'll do a total remake and buy a second TV and have our Play Station and Wii in there. The boy is over the moon. He fights with his dad over the TV on almost a daily basis, and now with the Olympics... Let's just say the boy was a bit sad when Kasper (the guinea pig) went, but he didn't mourn very long.

Today's card is made with brand new Clear Stamps from Prickley Pear. They will be up in the store shortly and it's a fab set that coordinates with both Scalloped Circle Die and Scalloped Oval Die. YAY!

I used three coordinated stamps from the set, the frame, the bird and the sentiment. Totally cute. For the design of the card I followed the fabbie Deconstructed sketch #63.
